Description: OEM aluminum cylinder head for Volkswagen 1.9L BEW TDI engine. All camshaft lobes are crisp and all chamfered edges are intact. Additionally, the valve lifters are in serviceable, unworn condition. The cylinder head itself is in serviceable condition. All valves actuate as they should and seat as they should. Coolant passages are unobstructed and free of corrosion (see photo). Mating surface appears to be true and is free from defects. As this is a used cylinder head, it cannot be guaranteed that the surface won't need machined. As is, however, I would not hesitate to install it on one of my TDI's. With that, the mating surface will need to be cleaned, as there is remnants of the previous head gasket. Shouldn't take more than a plastic scraper to clean up the surface. Intake passages have been cleaned of carbon build up (see photo). Exhaust passages have been cleaned of carbon build up (see photo).
