Description: This listing is for an antique or older vintage Sculpture / figure / Statue of a beautiful (and tasteful) nude woman with her dog. It is signed ARP on her back, but not dated. I believe it to be an early 20th century piece, possibly turn of the century. She appears to be made of some kind of artists plaster or mache, possible hand made likely hand painted. I have been unable to find out much about our artist, but it reminds me strongly of one piece I saw years ago that was a store display meant to advertise lingerie. This standing figure appears to have at one point also been scantily clad, and perhaps could’ve served much the same purpose. The dog appears to be a greyhound and has a nice little fake pear on his cloth collar. Both are nicely detailed, in a good dynamic (but tasteful) pose as well. It is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. It is in good condition, with no major damage. Has some natural aging and very light wear, some crackling to her fingers on one hand, and the dogs tail. Some light body crackling as well as holes that likely tacked on her original clothing- no flaking or loss. Very solid displayable piece still.
