To do this, the old edition started being referred to as the Classic amplified bible or AMPC. However, when the older edition was printed, it was not printed with that title. The title was given to the bible after the new edition came out. This bible that you are looking at has the older 1987 text which is now called the Classic amplified bible (AMPC). The text in this bible matches what biblegateway.com calls the Classic Amplified Bible (AMPC). Hopefully this clears up some confusion.
