It was an experiment at the time, although now it would be part of New York's BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) system. Evolving over the years, it was first a postsecondary institute for men and women interested in agriculture, home economics, and teacher training; then it became a junior college offering a multitude of degrees, including not only those listed above but also business and liberal arts; and now, 100 years later, it is a comprehensive college offering baccalaureate as well as associate degrees.
