They were known as 平高田Taira-Takada during Koto period, and later as 藤原高田Fujiwara Takada during Edo period. 定盛Sadamori, also signed as 平定盛 Taira Sadamori, was a 平高田Taira Takada school smith who majorly actived during late Muromachi period (the Warring States period). He was recorded to be the son of 長盛Nagamori, who was known to be one of the most skilled Takada school smith during that period of time. As shown in the photos, despite having some costmetic surface imperfections like Ware, this particular is overall in solid condition with no significant damages observed. As many of other blades from Samori, it's a very solid and strong blade that's slightly more bulky than average swords from the same time period, with a decent large Sori. It definitely presents itself to be a solid battle-oriented blade made for practical use during that turbulent period of time. It has a relatively longer Kissaki with a beautifully done Boshi. The Hamon overall has very rich and detailed activities, which are more enjoyable in hand than in the photos Nagasa: 2 Shaku 3 Sun 1 Bu Jaku ~70cm or 27.55inches Moto-Haba: ~30mm Moto-Gasane: ~7.5mm Saki-Haba: ~22.5mm Saki-Gasane: ~6mm bare blade weight: ~725g Regarding the whatabout/quality/condition, please carefully examine all the photos and make your own best judgement, the description provided is no more than a rough personal interpretation of the item and subject to inaccuracy/ omission —— all sales are final
