Description: Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1979 pressing of Michael Newman’s audiophile masterpiece on Sheffield Lab Direst-to-Disc LP LAB-10. These Sheffield Lab records are among the best audiophile discs pressed at that time and sound just incredible. This one in particular has been widely singled out as one of the best of all of them, and is included on the exclusive TAS list of the greatest audiophile recordings of all time. You have to hear it to see what the fuss is about. Truly an incredible recording. Here he plays Bach, Albéniz, Turina, and Eduardo Sainz De La Maza. Incredible classical guitar that sounds like it’s in the room with you. These records are often produced by audio wiz Lincoln Mayorga, as was this one, and were pressed in Germany where the highest level of record pressing technology was at the time. Truly a treat for the ears. This copy is just about perfectly mint as well, and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. The cover has a surface tear at the right center, where it looks like maybe some tape was ripped off or something like that, but is otherwise very clean, with only light signs of gentle use. Really a beautiful copy inside and out. Hard to beat.
