Description: MARX ROCK ISLAND DIESELS AB PAIR (1958-1960) First introduced by Marx in 1958. Rock Island A powered single motor engine and dummy B unit. It has no whistle or horn and the reverse unit has no switch. It has light on the powered end. A unit has slot coupler, dummy B has plastic tilt automatic coupler. Tough set to find for the Marx collector and/or operator. This example is a tough set from the early 1960's in the classic Rock Island road name. Condition is a strong Very Good (C6). Has two broken steps and one missing horn - otherwise the plastic shells would grade a strong Excellent. Both under carriages are clean, and the powered unit runs like a champ!
