Published by Blanchard and Lea, Philadelphia, 1861 NOTE: There is no copyright or origination date on the map, but Ancient [Classical] Geography, per the author, “…is almost exclusively confined to the countries around the Mediterranean Sea in the period of the power of Greece and Rome, the shores of that ocean being the scene of the life and actions of classical antiquity." - Carefully review (zoom in) all posted pictures, for any imperfections (stains, minor tear, pin holes, rough binding edges, crooked printing, creases, wrinkles, scratches on frame, etc.) Frame has some silver paint spatter on the sides, not noticeable or distracting when hanging, overall an excellent frame for this antique. - Map is approximately 163 years old (no date on map, so based on publication date); map is in very good condition, page has foxing, browning of the page, stain in the center crease but a great ANTIQUE. Map is antique, frame vintage USED for wall-mounting. Combined, they make a great piece of art for your home or office. -
