Twelve classic baskets were chosen by Dave Longaberger to honor his father JW Longaberger. The JW Longaberger Collection Series ran from 1983 through 1994 and honored JW by using 12 basket forms he had created, adding navy trim strips and gold metal tags. The Miniature versions were available to Collectors Club members at intervals from 1996 through 2003.Longaberger Baskets are formed baskets, meaning they are woven around a solid wood block/form on a weaving horse, then tapped off that form to have handles added and other finishing.
