Despite claim on copyright page, there was no 1981 Bantam hardcover published before this edition. There were two trade paperback edition published earlier, making this book club edition the first hardcover edition released. Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with some mild rubbing to faces and slight shelf wear around the edges. Boards are straight and clean but with corners slightly bumped.
