The artist, now well known for his Museum Collected Sculptures and Writings, created this original piece on paper using graphite as his medium. It was produced in 1925 when the artist was just 22-23 years old. The drawing measures 9" wide and 7 1/2" high. The current mat measures 12 1/2" wide and 11 1/2" high. The paper does have general age and time mat opening toning that is common to artwork on paper from this time period.
