Description: This listing is for a beautiful original KOKEN barber chair, model FLEUR-De-LIS. The chair is numbered! Made in St.Louis, around 1900.360 degree swivel, hydraulic, adjustable headrest and 2 -parts folding footrest. Made of a gorgeous solid oak and brass. Seat is covered by a genuine heavy duty suede. This chair has been purchased by my husband on auction in Midwest, delivered to California and professionally restored in early 80s. Since then it has been a conversation piece in our house, well kept and preserved. CONDITION: The barber chair, all its parts and hydraulic mechanism are in good working condition. It swivels 360 degrees, it has adjustable height of a seat and a headrest and 2-parts folding footrest. This fabulous barber chair in general is clean, strong and healthy. All mechanical and wooden parts are in excellent condition. The suede has some discoloration on the upper part and on the very back of the seat (white color lines, these are not cracks). Sued has a tendency to dry and shrink, therefore even though no one was using the chair the suede has a small, 3/8" crack on the front right back part of the seat. It is not visible from a front view! White lines on the suede are traces of one time leaking above the chair, they might be cleaned off. We didn't try. This chair is a part of our private collection of an American oak furniture from 1890-1895. All furniture was carefully picked in 1980s on auctions and through Antique dealers of entire Midwest and delivered to our house in LA area. All furniture went through extremely careful process of refinishing performed personally by my husband. Such refreshing revealed the exceptional beauty of a gorgeous quarter sawn oak texture. Refinishing is of superb quality! All our furniture was carefully and lovingly preserved and cherished for almost 40 years, now it is time to downsize our treasures. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY!
