The rod pocket is 2 inches from the top and the pocket itself is 3 inches wide. These drapes are a dark chocolate brown with leaves that are in green, gold and medium brown tones. Please review photos. *The full length photo makes the drapes appear to be darker on the bottom which they are NOT. I photographed them in my dining room window during the day and my windows are shorter than these drapes. The top portion will give you an idea of how much light they filter. The drapes are polyester and machine wash and dry beautifully with no wrinkles. There is a light lining which is 80/20 polyester/cotton. In great condition with no stains or tears.
