The figure is beautifully modeled wearing red pants with lattimo sash, and jacket also in red cased with lattimo. He carries above his head a candle holder of gold aventurine cased lattimo glass. On a heavy circular base of cased gold aventurine flecks. Retains the label for IVR Mazzega of Murano, Italy. Circa 1950s-1960s. In overall good vintage condition, no chips or cracks. Measures 12 5/8" height x 5" wide. About the Mazzega factory: The exact date of the foundation is unknown. According to the statement of the daughter of Romano Mazzega, Esperia Mazzega, the company was founded in the early 30s. In 1937, the company was sold to Aureliano Toso.
