The SFI-approved Innovator's West balancer is precision-machined in the USA and installs directly in place of factory unit. The IW balancer and LFP crank ring assembly weighs only 12.6 lbs, compared to 16.2 lbs for factory steel unit. Installation of our kit removes significant rotating mass from the front of the engine, and adds the benefit of wet clutch harmonics-dampening technology, which has made the Innovators West balancer the premier balancer in Motorsports.Our CNC-machined crank pulley rings bolt directly to your new balancer using provided fasteners. Once your balancer assembly is installed, changing the outer ring to adjust boost levels is simply a matter of six allen-head fasteners. LFP Crank pulley rings are also available separately and are listed elsewhere in our online store, eBay or by fone.We installed the IW balancer and 9.55" crank pulley ring on a CTS-V. Using a chassis dyno, the car made 547 HP at the tires, right off the street, with a very safe tune. The car showed a max boost level of 13.5 lbs (13.9 indicated on the dash gauge). Note: The 8.60" & 9.10" kits will fit with the original 70mm crank idler pulley, but the 9.55", 10.00" & 10.50" crank pulleys require the use of our crank idler pulley relocation bracket to reposition the idler. This bracket is available in our online store, our eBay store, or by fone.The Super Duty Hub Upgrade is generally recommended for vehicles making 900HP or more. It includes a heavy-duty steel hub that mates with the crankshaft snout (where the load is highest), and this hub is machined from a higher grade of steel and is larger in size.
