Extra large format: 4' x 4' 3.5", so 51.5" x 48". Folds out from a hardcover portfolio. Panels backed by linen, so this map should easily last another 100 years! Previously owned by Marylhurst University; however, it was a part of their non-circulating reference collection; hence why it is still in such great shape. Portfolio or outer folding hardcover has their bookplate and library pocket with a white handwritten title on spine area. A. J. Nystrom was known for making maps of the US, and globes. This "American Geo. Series" does not come up for sale often, nor do Nystrom maps on areas outside the US.
