Description: A Must-Have Set for any Terrier Dog or Antique Metal Bookend/Doorstop Collector! How can you resist this adorable pair of cast iron Scottie dog bookends manufactured by Hubley circa 1925. They are pictured on page 100 of "Collector's Encyclopedia of Bookends" by Louis Kuritzky. They have the typical Hubley typeset incised number (S-217) and pebbled texture on the back. They have wonderful detailing to their long fur and cute faces. They stand, facing in the same direction, atop a flat base in full profile, eyes attentive, ears and tails up. The bases measure 5-1/4" long by 2" wide. The dogs stand 5" tall. Both are numbered S217 on the back. Each weighs a little under two a half pounds. They have their original untouched patina that shows traces of a shiny faux bronze finish beneath.
