This calculator is fully functional, passes all the built-in self tests and expansion cards run fine from both slots. A black on light gray high contrast replacement LCD has been installed and is much better than the original LCD display, even when new. All the keys work fine and have a consistent feel throughout. The battery compartment has been refinished to like new condition with bright terminals and full thickness padding on the pass through terminals. In it will be three new Duracell PowerBoost 12 year AAA batteries with 2036 expiration date. The nylon case is in good condition, zipper works perfect and the black leather panel on the front looks great. All pictures are of the actual calculator, case, reference guide and batteries you will receive. First year USA production: This calculator was made during the 37th week of 1990, the same year the 48SX was introduced. By April of 1991, all 48SX production had transferred to Singapore and remained there until it was discontinued in 1993. Of the 48 series of calculators, only the 48SX was made in the USA. All subsequent models such as the 48S, 48G, 48GX and 48G+ were never made in the USA.
