This item is in great shape with no smudges, holes, or fading. Being from a magazine (French language), the paper is very thin, and has a crease across the top. Running my finger lightly over the signature, the letters have a different, rougher feel than the rest of the photo, leading me to believe it is probably an ORIGINAL SIGNATURE. There is no smudging of the signature. The frame has seen better days. You are buying the photo, & the frame is FREE. I bought a collection of autographs from the estate of an avid collector. Most of his items had a certificate of authenticity. Unfortunately, this one does not. Therefore I can NOT attest to, and do NOT stand behing the signature as being authentic. I just have no idea. It will be placed in a plastic sleeve for protection, then packed so as not to bend.
