Description: Elgin Father Time Grade 454 Model 15 Railroad Grade 16 Size Pocket Watch ca 1920. This antique Elgin Father Time grade 454, model 15, 16 size, open face pocket watch has a gold filled case measuring approximately 51.5mm in diameter x 2 1/2 inches long including bow. The case has a guilloche finish with a plaque on the back, perfect for personalizing. The case back has a small dent, as pictured, but is in otherwise great condition for it's age. The front and back remove and replace properly with good threading. The white enamel dial has large black Arabic numerals, large blue spade/whip hands, a double sunk seconds register at six o'clock and is marked "Elgin". The dial is in great condition with no hairlines or chipping, but the seconds register has a few small scratches, as pictured. The crystal is in great condition. The inside case is stamped "Keystone Watch Case Co. - J.Boss - 20 Years - 5411531". The nickel movement is stamped "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. - U.S.A. - Father Time - 21 Jewels - Adjusted 5 Positions - 22880006". All screws and jewels appear to be in good condition. This movement has gold jewel settings with both ruby and sapphire jewels. Stem wind, lever set. This watch is running. No guarantee of future performance.
