E. laui is a very attractive dwarf species clustering heavily from the base when mature. Easy bloomer, it starts producing flowers when still very young. Stem usually erect, cylindrical with whitish soft spines, up to 6 inch tall and only 2 inch in diameter. Flowers are large, narrow funnel-shaped, up to 1 1/2 inch long and in diameter, light pink.
