Description: We have for you an early 19th century Swedish painted pine dowry/marriage chest. This chest has a wonderful amount of paint still intact with a rather quaint and folk art look to it. It does have condition issues with one of the brass handles missing on one end and both hinges have been moved at one time. The lock assembly is missing also but given these issues this trunk would look phenomenal in any household desiring a folkish country setting.
