Starting with a 3mm shell without reinforcing rings, the brass is carefully formed into the sound of legends. The shell is nearly three times the thickness of standard-issue metal drums and with that comes a tone like no other. The thicker shell wall delivers full-bodied shell notes with each rimshot while still allowing dynamic players the sensitivity for crispy ghost notes. The ten lug configuration combined with the True-Pitch 50 tension rods gives you the widest tuning range possible down to the granular level.
