Dinky Toys PREWAR #152 Royal Tank Corps Light Tank Gift Set in Original Gift Box

Description: This made in England Dinky Toys #152 Royal Tank Corps Light Tank Set was made from 1937-1941 and is in the original gift box. Everything is complete and also includes original Dinky Toys Royal Tank Corps soldiers. The tank has the correct white triangle on the left side of the turret, the green tin base and the wire antenna. I would rate it as excellent. The Austin 7 prewar car has the correct prewar only hole in the seat for the driver, wire windshield and a real Dinky Toys made prewar Royal Tank Corps driver who’s is a paraplegic missing the left leg below the knee. Prewar Royal Tank Cops soldiers wore black uniforms and the black paint on the driver appears original but the car appears to have been repainted but correct prewar. It took me years to find the 6 wheel reconnaissance car in this set but it is truly outstanding for over 80 years old. It has the correct .062 inch diameter axles, green base and prewar smooth wheels with original treaded 15mm tires. The box completes the set. The top appears to have been fixed at some time, it is strong and has a water stain. Note the unit explanation on top of the box lid. The bottom has short tears in the hinge paper at both ends of the drop down part. The diorama coloring is truly amazingly bright and my photos don’t show how great it is. I had acquired the Dinky Toy Royal Tank Corps soldiers in the past and have included two of them for display. If you know Dinky Toys then you know that the hardest thing to find is the prewar soldiers. One is complete and the other is missing the ends of the arms. The only thing affected by prewar metal fatigue is the soldiers as all the vehicles are fine. Read my feedbacks and you should be confident in my protecting this set for shipping.
