Description: An original Civil War era Pattern 1853 British Enfield Rifle Musket Bayonet. Exhibits signs of definite Confederate usage with rack numbers on the the flat and side of the blade, marked "57" in a way not encountered on Federal arms. A must have for any collector. Appears a little out of shape at the muzzle end of the socket, it may not easily fit an Enfield today without some work. The Enfield was the 1st most common arm of the Confederacy and probably the 2nd most common among Federal troops, issued in .58 caliber. Buy Now or make a Reasonable Offer!
