Description: This is for a beautiful set of teacup and saucer made by Charles Field Haviland of Limoges France. The green backstamp under the glaze, with GDA France, was used starting in 1900 to 1941. The red decorator mark was used from 1862-present so it is between 83 and 124 years old. This set is so lovely and decorated with delicate purple fading a bit into blue, forget-me-nots on the cup and saucer with a sprig on the inside of the cup also. I see no chips, crazing, cracks, or stains. Looking at an angle to the light, I see minimal wear on the glaze on both the cup and saucer. There is also a bit of brushed gold outlining the edges of the handle. The cup is 2 inches high, 3 & 5/8 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5 & 5/8 inches in diameter. The cup holds 1/2 cup easily, 3/4 cup to the top. The porcelain is so fine and thin, the set only weighs about 6.5 ounces! The porcelain itself has a design pressed into it on the edges of the saucer and the top edge of the cup. The saucer also has a flower like pattern around the center, which is repeated around the bottom of the cup.
