Description: I have had this set of charming European city geographic cards for many years. I'm not sure if it was designed as a game or for the purposes of teaching young people. It features cards depicting cities in the following countries: 6 for England (complete), 4 for Scotland (complete), 3 for Ireland (title card missing), 6 for France (complete), 3 for Belgium (complete), 3 for Holland (complete), 5 for Spain (complete), 3 for Switzerland (complete) and 2 for Portugal (complete). So it looks like the only card missing is the title card for Ireland. All the cards have delightful color pictures of the the cities represented along with one to four lines describing why the cities are famous. The cards are printed on one side only. I'm assuming the cards were printed in Great Britain given that there are 14 cards for cities there. The original box has lost most of its printed label. There is a bit of a store label on the back that might indicate it was sold in Kendal. I have never seen this set before. It looks like it would have been a great way to teach children about the nations of Western Europe. The cards are 2.5" x 3.75" and all are in good condition. The box is in as is condition.
