Another big feature article is the Big Al Downing interview – he played piano on Wanda’s “Let’s Have A Party” and had the wild “Down On The Farm” out in the 50s himself. He’s been playing music ever since, has sad and also uplifting stories to tell (being the only black person in a band with Wanda for example) and his new album contains great Honky Tonk and more. Third feature article is about Texan Al Urban, a former SARG Rockabilly recording artist who later wrote songs for country stars. Also included a photo layout and story about our (that’s right, Marc Bristol & Okie Doke with special guest Gaby) tour in Germany and Holland in June 2003 – we had a blast, played 2 festivals and several clubs and got to see several great acts including a killer performance by Sweden’s Eva Eastwood & The Major Keys.
