It may overall have just some age appearance from being so old but it is a lovely antique piece. Below is the history of the artist. The size of the frame is 33 in wide by 25.25 in tall and the size of the actual artwork is 20.5 in wide 12.75 in tall. The frame has a lovely gold tone over wood with a lot of detail around the border of the inside. George E. Gladwin (1829-1920) taught drawing at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute for almost thirty years, and spent his free time making drawings, paintings and sketches. This charming image depicts a lovely home. The signature in lower right reads Geo. E. Gladwin Please see all pictures. Any darker shadows is just me in the light. It's very difficult to get pictures without a glare but I definitely did my best on this one. It is just such a gorgeous antique piece and it is in an Estate find in Upstate New York.
