On the heels of their first title in San Francisco, the 2010 World Series champions rolled into St. Louis to face the mighty Albert Pujols and company. World Series hero Aubrey Huff powered the 12-7 victory behind a 4-for-5 effort with three runs scored, six RBI and his first career three-home run game. Fan favorite Andres Torres, doubled, scored three times and collected two RBI on a 3-for-5 performance from the leadoff spot. Second baseman Freddy Sanchez homered, scored twice and drove in four runs. SF starting pitcher Jonathan Sanchez pitched well in the win, logging 5.1 innings while only allowing three earned runs. The lefty also contributed at the dish with a double and a run scored. Jeremy Affeldt secured his first save in 2011, going two innings with one strikeout. Albert Pujols singled and scored twice and stole a base in the bottom of the first inning. The loss proved to be a minor bump during a successful 2011 campaign that culminated in a World Series win over the Texas Rangers in seven games. Bruce Bochy's autograph is featured on the bottom of the card.
