Description: For sale today is a rare and out-of-print (oop) oversized trade paperback (TPB)/graphic novel from the classic Asterix series by Albert Uderzo and Rene Goscinny. It is published by Orion Books/Sterling Publishing. *****Omnibus Volume 11 (2007)Collects Asterix and the Actress, Asterix and the Class Act, and Asterix and the Falling Sky. The last three Asterix stories are collected in one volume for the first time ever! In Asterix and The Actress, we see Asterix and Obelix celebrate their joint birthday party back in the Gaulish village - and some surprise guests have been invited! In Asterix and the Class Act we have the story of the creation of Asterix, including the day Asterix and Obelix were born (in the middle of a village fish fight), how Obelix goes back to school and the bid for the very first Gaulish Olympics. In Asterix and the Falling Sky the Gauls' one fear - that the sky may fall on their heads - looks like it might come true, but our friends soon find themselves in the middle of a space race! It collects: **(Volume 31) Asterix and The ActressA Roman actress poses as Panacea in order to steal back a fancy sword/scabbard and helmet belonging to Pompey, which Asterix and Obelix received for their shared birthday. **(Volume 32) Asterix and The Class ActA collection of several short stories, including an experiment at different drawing and storytelling styles. Most stories are written by Goscinny. **(Volume 33) Asterix and The Falling SkyRival aliens visit the Gaulish village in search of the Gaul's great weapon, which is "known throughout the universe". The aliens battle each other, and the magic potion later proves to have an unexpected side-effect on them. I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This copy is in good condition, with a solid spine and great inside pages (photo#13 example). Other than 1 spine corner indent, it has some primarily lighter signs of wear, all of which affect mainly its externals, and all detailed below. **Photo#3:-Spine edge: Some tiny/light scratches/dings around its center. **Photo#4: -Upper spine corner: Light scuffing. ~1" indent and ~1.5" indent around corner on front cover - the ~1" shows as a light indent on ~15 pages. Small ding/indent at/around where it meets the back cover. **Photo#5: -Lower spine corner: Light scuffing/indenting around it. Causes a light ~1" horizontal indent around the corner on the front cover. **Photo#6: -Front cover top edge: ~1/2" scuff near its middle, otherwise light shelf-scuffing/wear if any.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend/cover peel, goes thru ~5 pages lightly. **Photo#7:-Front cover bottom edge: 2 small scuffs near its middle, otherwise light shelf-scuffing/wear if any.-Outer corner: Small crease/scuff/bend, goes thru ~2/3 pages as a light bend. **Photo#8: -Back cover top edge: Tiny indent towards outer corner, otherwise little if any shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend. **Photo#9:-Back cover bottom edge: Tiny ding/indent near its middle (photo#10 w/illumination) that shows lightly on ~12 pages, otherwise light levels of shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend. **Additionally: Front cover has a small indent near the spine edge. Back cover has a retailer's sticker near the upper spine corner (photo#11, might come off; I prefer not to mess with them). Light ~6" horizontal scratch at cover's lower half (photo#12 w/illumination). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots. If you have any questions or would like any additional photos, feel free to let me know. I'm always happy to combine shipping costs - either message me before completing purchase for a pre-payment price adjustment, or alternatively I can provide a refund afterwards. Thanks, and have a tremendous day!
