This particular one is from the DVT stage of engineering, AKA Design Validation Testing. At this stage, the actual electrical bits and general design bits have been taken care of and it's basically just making sure that bringing everything together doesn't introduce any sort of unintended design problems before they have to ramp it up to mass production scale NOTE: THIS IS AN ENGINEERING SAMPLE PRODUCT. RELIABLE FUNCTIONALITY IS NOT 100% GUARANTEED. You are buying this cable not with the intent of daily driving, but for collecting purposes. I have plugged both of these into a speaker and both of them appear to work with a preliminary test so that's that, but again these are Engineering samples. If something goes south that's not my problem.
