Antique Victorian 1860-1880 Walnut Veneer Stool w/ Needlepoint Upholstery

Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Victorian footstool. Old antique walnut veneer footstool with 3 original disc feet. Vintage needlepoint upholstery. Dates circa 1860 to 1880 time period. Made in England. The upholstery is not original but is an old vintage needlepoint. Has diamond shaped wood nut on bottom to hold upholstery to base of stool. Nice patina. Antique Over 140 years old. Only fair condition for age. The stool is assembled in 4 equal quarter round wood pieces. Solid and sturdy. There are cracks and losses on outside base mostly around the quarter round joints and one on upper seam. Walnut veneer losses and veneer chip losses. Age cracks on underside base. Some minor veneer loss. A coat of wax would brighten up the original finish. Needlepoint upholstery is not original, but is vintage, and has some minor wear. Walnut with scratches, scuffs, and wood losses. Still a nice 140+ year old survivor. Nice antique stool to use as is or restore. Measures about 4" tall by 10 7/8" in diameter overall. We will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping. We will pack all items VERY WELL with bubble wrap and peanuts(furniture will be packed by the shipper). That is why ALL of the items purchased require insurance. In the unlikely event an item is damaged or lost by the mail/shipper we will work with you to help you file your claim, but the settlement will be between you and the carrier.
