This piece is a beautiful and unique silver plated plate made by James W. Tufts in Boston, Massachusetts. The plate has an ornate design which displays a parrot on a branch surrounded by leaves and fruits. The plate is footed using melon shapes to form the feet and the plate is heavily embossed. The two ends of the plate curl up. The plate is stamped and reads "James W. Tufts Boston Warranted Quadruple Plate 3140" and with the James Tufts Maker's Mark. This quadruple silver plated footed tray measures 8½” Long by 6¼” Wide and stands 1½” High. This plate would add an element of elegance displayed on your dining room table, shelf or bookcase. This plate would also make a great addition to your antique silver plate collection. NOTE: Lighting glare appears on some photos.
