Description: These large and spectacular handmade, engraved silver gilt (vermeil), late 19th century, screw back, chandelier earrings, were likely crafted in the Iberian peninsula. The bow and flower design is typical for earrings from this period and place and the quality of the construction point to antique workmanship. Each earring is set with 12 bright red coral cabochons secured in belcher settings. There are 11 components in each earring, and all are separately articulated – giving marvelous movement when worn. In very good antique condition. It has not been cleaned in order to preserve the patina, but can be upon request.
