Description: Rare vintage Effenbee 1940s Howdy Doody doll with the composition head and stuffed cloth body. Some cracking and paint loss on the head, but is in very good condition considering it's age. The cloth body of torn in three areas, foot, chest and neck. Cloth is discolored, some red spots and a very visible brown spot in one area of the belly. Some dirt on the face, some scratches on the tips of the fingers and back of the hands and a crack on the left hand. Please review the detailed pics carefully.All condition issues are documented. This doll has the more intact head and hands of all the listed ones being offered for sale right now. This is a wonderful old toy that is reminiscent of a more innocent time.
