Description: A very nice double page set of leaves from a handwritten damaged partial Koran I purchased years ago from Turkey. These are written on handmade Laid paper. The language is Quranic Arabic. The verses are framed in gold leaf and the Suras are written over a gold title block. Some staining from age but no tears or breakage on the gold borders. Because of the gold leaf the borders become brittle over time and many examples have broken areas in the page frame. These are in unbroken condition. Each leaf measures 6 3/4" x 4 3/8". 15 lines per page. Will sell Worldwide except to Russia.
