Description: Rare antique Derby teapot, circa 1790. Pattern 188 of Duesbury II period. Pink band at the top portion is adorned with gold “lace” pattern. Gold gilt continues down the body in a raindrop pattern and as “arrows” and feathering on spout over white background. The oval body has vertical ribbing. Please note this is an antique item and does show signs of ware such as surface scratches, small discolorations and loss of finish. Please view photos. It is recommended to use the zoom feature when available. In overall good antique condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are some glaze imperfections most notable on the underside, especially on bottom edge. Most notable ware: -discolorations on inside and outside of spout, on top edge surrounding lid, inside the pot, and on bottom edges of pot body - ware of puce and battons marking -Loss of gold gilt, most notable on lid finial and pot handle.
