Antique COFFIN Figural KU-18 LABELED and Sealed Cobalt Poison Bottle 3.5" size

Description: Up for sale is a classic and iconic cobalt blue poison bottle dating to around 1910. It's a square/rectangular coffin shape with the front panel having "POISON" embossed downwards, surrounded by rows of pointed diamond hobnails. Both sides have eight rows of three hobnails, the back has no embossing, and its base is embossed "M" within a circle with "1" below. It's machine-made with a cork top mouth. It's sealed with the original cork and half full of contents... The back rear panel retains a near-complete paper label advertising The Norwich Pharmacal Co. (Norwich, NY) with skull and crossbones and illustration of the coffin-form tablets reading "POISON". The tablets match inside. It's 3 1/2" tall. It's in almost perfect condition with just a very shallow 3/8" flake on the top edge of the mouth from de-corking. Otherwise, as mentioned the paper label is nearly 100%, just a small loss along the upper edge. All in all, it's a fantastic example and for "attic" bottles it doesn't get much better!
