Description: This came from the estate of a neighbor who had traveled extensively in China. That's all I know. I have a weakness for teapots, but need to downsize. It is metal, I think it's lined with tin. The outside is red metal (painted?) with embossed panels in brass. I have not polished them. Panels include birds, butterfly, grapes, dragonfly, reeds. The pot is lined and the embossing doesn't show on the smooth insides of it.The lid has been stamped and is, I think, of a think brass. The intricate knob on the top is fastened onto the lid with a metal/cotton fastener on the inside of the lid. Handle is a hollow metal with a woven part covering where you'd pick up the teapot.Height to the top of the knob is about 5 3/4" Diameter at the widest part is 15". The bottom is about 3". I don't see any marks on it.Wish I knew more and I'd love it if someone could tell me more about it,
