Description: A beautiful, large antique brooch c.1915. Marked "GLP" - George L. Paine, a renown jeweler in N. Attleboro, Massachusetts. The brooch has a wide circle of brushed gold tone metal (brass, I believe) with a swirly filagree inset setting off a large deep purple stone. Measures 2.5 inches in diameter. Excellent condition - no chips, cracks or loose parts. Secure clasp. Minimal signs of wear.
