Description: This antique box is an irregularly shaped chest, decorated with two birds, on pink hearts, kissing. Vines of pink roses, leaves and rope circles/love knots, and "Take this for a Kiss" in black writing, border the piece. The top and yellow base look like enamel, but the inside might be pottery, so it could be French faience rather than enamel. An ornate seashell with scrolls is the clasp. The condition, considering its' age, is excellent. There aren't any cracks or chips, but there is pitting, in the form of pin pricks or dotted indentations, on the top and bottom. Please check the pictures. It is 1.25" by 1.8" with a height of 1". PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE BOXES - I'LL BE LISTING ADDITIONAL ONES LATER IN THE WEEK. PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN.
