Description: Antique #8 Wagner Ware Arc “Sidney” Cast Iron Skillet w/ Heat Ring. For your Consideration is this “Sidney” arc logo cast iron skillet from Wagner Ware, circa: 1897-1903. These skillets are believed to have been produced in the old Sidney Hollow Ware foundry after they were bought out by Wagner Ware. This skillet had a layer of rust which left behind mild pitting across most of the cooking surface after the rust was removed. There are also a few heavy scratches. Fortunately the surface irregularities will minimize and even disappear as you develop additional seasoning through use. The bottom is clean with a detailed Sidney logo at the top and size number 8 at the bottom. There is a slight sand shift casting mark that runs diagonally across the bottom. Sits flat with one business card worth of movement between the 2:00 & 8:00 positions. Does not spin.
