Description: Antique 1900s Fragonard Victorian Courting Couple Hand Painted Porcelain Brooch This very pretty antique brooch is preowned, was part of a collection and is in good condition for the right person. This brooch dates to the earlier part of the 1900s and depicts a Victorian Fragonard style courting couple's hand painted image. The colors are light, almost pastel like and each detail has been placed upon porcelain that is oval in shape. It closes with a old fashioned small C clasp and the pin, clasp and hinge are in working order. The brooch measures approximately 1 & 3/4" long x 1 & 3/8" wide. Conditional issues are light surface scratching to the front of the brooch, some discolorations along the outer edges and metal wear, discolorations and and surface abrasions on the back portion of the brooch. It is a beautiful brooch, one that we always think about the history and where this brooch could have been in it's lifetime.
