Description: This beautiful one-of-a-kind 1900-1930's Oushak tribal rug makes it's way from the Aksaray Selime Monastery in Cappadocia. It features a unique floral medallion with colors of rust, sage, and a greyish purple. The medallion sits atop a cream colored field with a rust border all enhanced with details of burgundy and black. This rug features an extremely dense, tightly woven wool pile that is great for high traffic areas. Natural dyes and colors include: sage, cream, black, sand, and more. This hand made rug is made of non-shedding hand spun wool making it easy to clean, and making it incredibly soft to walk and lounge on. This densely woven wool rug contains natural oils called lanolin that naturally resist dirt and grime, therefore allowing it to look cleaner for much longer than synthetic rugs. Regular vacuuming will remove any dirt and grime, and allow you to enjoy your rug for many decades.
