Anne of Cleves Art Doll 12 1/2" OOAK handmade tudor queen pink velvet gown

Description: Vintage Doll I recently purchased this and another doll from an estate sale. This doll appears to have been handmade. She has a beautiful face with hand painted features. I am unsure of what her head is made out of. Her elaborate gown is pink velvet with several different gold trims. It is hand beaded down the front and thickly beaded at the neck. She has a pretty lace trimmed headpiece. The front of the dress is split to reveal the patterned underskirt. Under that is a lace trimmed slip. The doll"s legs and body is quite stiff and are wrapped is something with some give. I am unsure of what because she also is wearing lace trimmed pants and little gold slippers. She is mounted on a base to match her dress. The only label is on the underside of the base "87, Anne of Cleves". She appears to have been stored for many years under a glass dome and has a flowery scent. The edge of her skirt at the back has a couple small spots that have missed being hemmed.
