ANGLPOISE DESK LAMP Cream Vintage 1970's From British Leyland UK Fully Working

Description: Thanks for looking If you're reading this then you'll already know exactly what you're looking at. This model sells for up to 150 so grab a serious bargain! This is a great example of the iconic British Anglepoise lamp. I'm a professional seller online and we picked up this and a few other items from the old British Leyland HQ offices. If you're not familiar with British Leyland look them up - they were the hub of the British auto industry for decades until the whole company collapsed in the early 80's. This lamp came from the office part of the factory which is just up the road from us. I'm 99% certain that its a Herbert Terry but can't be absolutely sure as they stopped using an embossed stamp and started using paper stickers from the late 70's (also, the other lamps we picked up from there still have the Herbert Terry stickers - see my other listinds!). The stickers have been removed on this one but it's in identical dimensions and made in the UK with the same materials as the older Herbert Terry models - essentially, it's an industrial item so unlikely anyone else would bother trying to copy it! Additionally, it's in the most sought after colour - pale cream. Not many of these examples are left. Tastes change over the decades and now, if you're looking for an Anglepoise Lamp this is the one everyone wants - a real standout piece! Nb - the lamp in the photos is the one that you'll recieve. Details Anglepoise Lamp (Herbert Terry?) late 1970's model pale cream steel frame fully adjustable velvet foot hand crafted in England Condition This is the best part! Even though this is a fifty year old item it's in remarkable condition. I've fully tested it and is fully operational - no dodgy wires or loose connections. It works just as well as it did the day it was built. The shade is in near mint condition with no chips or dents although there is one 5mm scuff in the paintwork (see pics - hardly noticeable). The base has a few small chips in the paintwork - again, see pics. The bulb won't be included....even though we'll pack it very carefully in a large box you know what couriers are like. Opening a parcel full of broken glass is dangerous! Overall, it's one of the best examples, in the best colour of the Anglepoise we've ever seen.
