Description: Classic American Laser Corporation (ALC) 60X argon ion laser head with Omnichrome 150 power supply, umbilical cable, and digital remote control. It runs on 115 VAC with a standard 15 A plug. The head is MULTILINE (at least 7 gorgeous lines from deep blue to mousy green) and it is also MULTI-SPATIAL MODE for high power. It is capable of more 200 mW, perhaps 250 mW. Being MM, it is NOT suitable for applications like laser shows where a tight beam is required. (MM does not show up in the photos but the beam consists of very closely spaced multiple spots, NOT a single TEM00 one.) The last two photos show the spectrum through multiple crossed gratings at around 5 A and 10 A. However, the cavity mirrors are replaceable if you're into that sort of thing but it is NOT trivial if you haven't done it before. And the power would likely be much lower if single mode. Tested and guaranteed. Includes:ALC 60X argon ion laser head. It is basically the same as an Omnichrome 532. THIS HEAD HAS MULTI-SPATIAL MODE MIRRORS INSTALLED. Omnichrome 150 power supply.with US 115 VAC 15 A plug. Head to power supply umbilical cable.Omnichrome digital remote control with cable.Interlock plug (which can substitute for the remote with current adjustable via a knob on the power supply).This rig appears to work quite well despite having been in storage for a couple decades.
