Family owned and operated for over 30 years ! ****************************************** **We are selling a new American Iron Horse oil tank that was originally for the 2005 Texas Chopper. This oil tank can also be used on custom bikes with a 280 rear tire and a right hand drive. You will need to decide if this will work for your custom application. Please read our terms listed below and bid accordingly. **We received this in a dealer buy out and all of the information we have on it is listed here. In the last picture you can see the side of the box this was in with the part number Q11001405. The side of the box also states that this is for the 280 RHD. We believe that the 280 refers to the size of the rear tire, which also explains why it is so wide at the rear. We believe RHD is for Right Hand Drive, which is what all American Ironhorse bikes were. We believe this will allow it to be used for custom bikes with a 280 rear wheel and a right side drive. Consider all of this before bidding. **For those of you who want to adapt this to a chopper frame, we did several measurement. Using the third picture as reference, the back of the tank is a little less than 15" wide.Using the 4th picture as reference the bottom of the tanki is a little less than 9" front to back. Using the first picure as reference the heighth of the body at the center of the front of the tank is a little more than 5 1/2" tall not counting the cap. **In the fourth picture you can see a cap included with this. Otherwise, there is no mounting hardware at all. You will need to provide anything else required to mount this on your own. **The sixth picture shows the parts catalog with the 2005 American iron horse motorcycles. This oil tank is number five in the picture. Number five shows that it is for the TX and SZ models. The seventh picture shows that the TX stands for Texas chopper and the SZ stands for slammer. The eighth picture shows the oil tank in the catalog. It is the top one in the picture. **This tank is new and in good shape. It is primer finished and will need to be sanded and painted before mounting. There are some scuffs and scratches on this along with some chips. There is also some surface rust on this from sitting in the warehouse. From what we can tell this will all sand out when you are prepping this for paint, but we have not tried it so we do not know for certain. Please keep all of this in mind when bidding. **We do not know what this would sell for but we believe it would be $300 or more easily.
