Description: African Mask Mende Helmet Sande Society Sierra Leone. This is a very old helmet mask. I do not know the exact age. I purchase it from an estate of a collector who had an extensive African mask collection. Measures 17” tall X 4 1/2” across the bottom. There are what appear to be some very old repairs around the base as can be seen in the pictures. I do my best to describe each item accurately, however I do make mistakes.
